The ocean and the sunset are two of my favourite things! This piece is inspired by the beautiful contrast in colours when the sunset kisses the ocean. I wanted to capture the motion, energy and beauty of as the sunset bounces off the waves. Artist grade acrylic colours were used on a gallery wrapped, deep edge canvas. The art is produced using acrylic paints mixed with flow mediums and varnishes to achieve a unique layering of paints and cell formation. The technique used ensures each painting is a unique, one-off piece of artwork. The final result was finished with several layers of professional grade archival varnish for a light-fast finish.
